With a population of approximately 300 students, Menands School is a unique Pre-K-8 school and district. We are a very supportive school community, and work collaboratively to meet the diverse needs of our students in a nurturing environment.

Menands School is looking to fill an anticipated opening for (2) elementary special education teachers for our K-2 self-contained classrooms, starting in September 2024. The ideal candidate will bring an understanding and respect for children and families from diverse backgrounds, and a strong knowledge of special education. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and/or a strong desire for working with children with Autism and other developmental disabilities.

The school district pays tuition for an additional 130 Menands students in ninth through 12th grades to attend one of four area high schools: Shaker High School in North Colonie Central School District, Colonie Central High School (South Colonie), Watervliet High School, or Tech Valley High School.
